cleverwittystatement:

I was super against e-readers too for the simple reason that I love the experience of reading books. It stimulates my senses in all the good ways. But the thing is they are lighter than books and, for someone who travels alot, this is important as I just had to leave $300 worth of books in China. They went to a good home but I miss them still. Also school text books are becoming availabe online and you can highlight and bookmark on most e-readers now.
Stop the e-reader hate. Seriously.

YOU CAN READ FUCKING BOOKS ON FUCKING KINDLES. Sorry. I live in Japan. Shipping English books here would be a major pain in my ass so I’m buying a kindle. Sorry. I’m still reading, even if it’s in a different fucking format than ‘traditional’ books. I love books. I love the smell of books. I love the feel of books. I love books. But Kindles can be very fucking convenient and it doesn’t detract from the important part of reading— you know the actually damn story. jfc

AMEN to the commentary. I read about 20 books a week. On my Kindle.
