(via Phrases We Owe to Shakespeare)

I love this! Shakespeare contributed much to the Queen’s English. In fact, he used the phrase, “the Queen’s English,” in The Merry Wives Of Windsor. He did not, alas, coin that phrase, but it surely delighted the Queen!
Other favorites:
—“a sea change”
—“salad days”
—“at one fell swoop”
—“fancy free”
—“too much of a good thing”
—“strange bedfellows”
Also, “hot blooded!” Check it and see.
